ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a Clinical Assistant, Division 2 Nurse to join our Private Radiology nursing team in the Ballarat region. You will be responsible for:
- IV Cannulation as required.
- Admission and education of patients and their families.
- Post procedure care, recovery and discharge
- Liaising with orderly staff for transport of patients post examination/procedure to wards.
- Including assisting to set up the room for various scans including lifting and changing equipment
ABOUT YOU
- Registered Nurse, Division 2 with medication endorsement to administer oral and IM medication with current Registration with Nurses Board of Victoria,
- To be able to work in a high-field magnetic environment.
- Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
- IV Cannulation qualification or preparedness to attend a cannulation course
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong patient centred care approach with an ability to effectively build patient relationships
