We're looking for a demand leader to take our demand planning function to the next level. You'll lead a team of six demand planners, own one balanced, signed-off demand plan, partner closely with our sales teams, and be a senior voice in our planning system across tactical and long-range horizons. This is a role for someone who wants to change how demand planning works, not just run it. Our supply is largely set months ahead and the pace is fast. Getting demand right, and shaping it to fit what we produce, matters to every part of the business. You don't need to come from poultry. Protein, dairy, fresh produce or other constrained-supply experience is valuable, but curiosity matters more: if you bring proven approaches from elsewhere and are keen to learn what's different here, we want to hear from you. This position can be based at our head office in Macquarie Park or alternatively at one of our interstate sites.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the construction of the demand plan: a robust baseline with clearly owned variances, built bottom-up and reconciled top-down.
  • Lift the focus on performance against plan with sales, with clear ownership, sign-off and accountability.
  • Plan in bird equivalents and lead proactive, commercial demand shaping in partnership with supply.
  • Give our planning forums a clear view of performance, changes, risks, opportunities and scenarios, and the decisions needed.
  • Organise demand planning's people, process, tools and data to deliver at every horizon.
  • Lead and develop a team of six demand planners, with a strong culture of execution and accountability.

What you’ll bring:

  • Senior planning leadership experience, with a track record of improving plan quality and performance against plan.
  • Commercial credibility: you can challenge senior sales leaders on evidence and win the argument.
  • Confidence presenting to, and influencing, senior cross-functional and executive leaders, including in S&OP and IBP forums.
  • A strong grasp of plan construction, variance management and performance measurement.
  • Comfort working where systems don't do the work for you, and at pace when demand and supply move daily.
  • Analytical depth, with working knowledge of statistical and AI-enabled forecasting.
  • Experience leading and coaching teams through change.
  • A bias for execution: you do what you say, on time, and build teams that do the same.
  • An understanding of manufacturing: what plants can make, at what cost, and what a late change really costs.

What we’ll offer:

  • A national role with real influence on how a market-leading business plans and performs.
  • A planning function investing in capability, tools and new ways of working.
  • A culture built on our core values of Care, Courage, Curiosity and Commitment.
  • The opportunity to work with an ASX-listed business; Australia’s leading poultry producer and iconic household brand.
  • A highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with genuine opportunities for career growth and development.
  • Flexible, hybrid working environment with on-site parking.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program including confidential counselling and general support services for you and your family.
  • Access to Fitness Passport, Purchased and Wellness leave and our employee discounts & benefits platform.

We’re looking for people who are curious, caring, courageous and committed to join us; people who want to contribute their best work every single day and continue delivering deliciously good food that’s…Always Good! Inghams values diverse experiences. If your skills align with some but not all of the listed requirements, we encourage you to still apply and explore the opportunity to join our team.
