About the Role

We are seeking a driven and strategic individual to join our team as a Senior Policy Officer. The role will contribute to key Infrastructure NSW priorities, with a strong focus on coordinating the infrastructure needed to support economic development and jobs across NSW. Working closely with other NSW Government agencies, the role will help identify what infrastructure is needed, where and when, and how it can be better planned and sequenced to support investment and growth. It offers exposure to significant State initiatives, including implementation of the State Infrastructure Strategy, and complex cross-government issues.

Some of the key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Undertaking research and analysis on strategic infrastructure, land-use and economic development issues to support evidence-based decisions.
  • Identifying infrastructure problems and opportunities and developing practical options to address them.
  • Preparing clear, high-quality briefings and advice for senior audiences.
  • Building strong working relationships with agencies and stakeholders to resolve issues and progress shared objectives.

About You

You will bring experience in policy analysis and/or strategy development, with strong analytical and writing skills and the ability to turn complex issues into clear, practical advice. You will be comfortable working across government, bringing together different perspectives, exercising sound judgement and building productive relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and an understanding of government policy and decision-making processes. Experience in infrastructure planning, land-use planning or infrastructure coordination is highly desirable.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
