Our Australian events business is home to AUSREiiF, Australia's major real estate investment and infrastructure forum, bringing together government, investors, developers, infrastructure leaders, professional services and the wider built environment to drive investment, development and regeneration across Australia.

This is an opportunity to join the business at a pivotal stage of growth and play a central role in building AUSREiiF's commercial success and long-term industry relationships. As part of a small and ambitious team, you will help develop the commercial ecosystem that underpins the event, establish strategic partnerships across the property and infrastructure sectors, and contribute to the continued growth and profile of AUSREiiF across Australia.

What the role involves

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, commercially minded business development professional looking to help build the commercial ecosystem for AUSREiiF 2027. Reporting to the Head of Events - Australia, you'll work closely with the Head of Australia, Sales & Marketing Coordinator and wider UK team to identify prospects, respond to enquiries, develop opportunities, convert leads and build strong relationships with clients to help them achieve their strategic, commercial and engagement objectives.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage inbound enquiries from prospective sponsors, exhibitors and partners.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries.
  • Understand the prospect's objectives and identify the most relevant AUSREiiF opportunity.
  • Prepare proposals, packages and follow-up communications.
  • Manage opportunities through the CRM from enquiry to conversion.
  • Proactively identify and contact potential sponsors, exhibitors and commercial partners.
  • Work from agreed target lists while also identifying new prospects independently.
  • Conduct email, telephone and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Follow up consistently and professionally.
  • Arrange meetings and sales conversations for qualified opportunities.
  • Develop your own prospect pipeline.
  • Own the sponsorship and exhibition sales process from prospecting through to contract.
  • Develop tailored commercial propositions and proposals.
  • Present partnership opportunities to senior stakeholders.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for bespoke partnerships, thought leadership, networking, branding, exhibition and content activation.
  • Work with the wider team to ensure commercial commitments can be delivered to a high standard.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the value and longevity of client relationships.
  • Maintain an accurate and active sales pipeline within the CRM (HubSpot).
  • Track activity, pipeline value, conversion rates and revenue against targets.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Head of Australia.
  • Identify pipeline gaps and assist with developing strategies to address them.
  • Take ownership of agreed commercial revenue targets.
  • Build knowledge of the Australian property, infrastructure and investment sectors.
  • Identify new organisations, sectors and commercial opportunities.
  • Attend relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Represent AUSREiiF professionally in the market.
  • Share market intelligence and feedback with the wider team.
