As a Post Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will support our engineering and project teams across a range of industrial projects.

You’ll contribute to technical design, project coordination and delivery activities while developing your practical engineering knowledge and professional capabilities.

Key responsibilities include

• Assisting with mechanical engineering design, calculations and technical documentation.
• Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Supporting project planning, scheduling and coordination activities.
• Assisting with procurement, material take-offs and technical evaluations of equipment and materials.
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and internal project teams.
• Supporting site activities, inspections, installation and commissioning.
• Monitoring project progress and assisting with quality and compliance requirements.
• Responding to technical queries and helping develop practical engineering solutions.
• Maintaining accurate project records, reports and engineering documentation.
• Working in accordance with IPT’s safety, quality and environmental requirements.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and eager to learn, with a practical approach to engineering and a genuine interest in industrial projects.

Ideally, you will have

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with postgraduate studies viewed favourably.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
• A practical, hands‑on approach to engineering and project delivery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with relevant engineering or design software.
• A commitment to workplace health and safety.
