Operate a press to print quality products accurately and efficiently using all supplied information.
Key responsibilities
- Check work ticket thoroughly for all necessary information.
- Prepare ink, paper and press to the work ticket instructions.
- Constantly monitor the press to ensure a quality job is being produced at all times.
- Ensure all jobs produced are checked for accuracy and quality by the Supervisor, Leading Hand or another Press Operator and signed off on the work ticket.
- Ensure times for each job are allocated on the work ticket and computer.
- Fulfil regular maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.
- Keep Production Supervisor or Leading Hand informed of any necessary press requirements.
- Assist the Production Supervisor or Leading Hand as per direction.
- Advise the Production Supervisor or Leading Hand when consumable stocks are low.
- Complete all tasks on the production list each day.
About you
- Minimum 4 year apprenticeship.
- 1 years trade experience preferred.
- Relevant experience in the printing industry.
