Operations Manager in Perth

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Operations Manager - Marine to lead and oversee our Marine operations based in Henderson, WA. This is an exciting senior leadership opportunity for a commercially focused professional to drive operational performance, lead high-performing teams and ensure the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of marine projects.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the Marine division, ensuring business objectives, project deliverables and client requirements are consistently achieved.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Marine division, ensuring safe, efficient and profitable project delivery.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation and operational priorities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Drive financial performance, ensuring agreed annual turnover, margin targets and operational budgets are achieved.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including workforce planning, recruitment, development and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with company and client HSEQ requirements, policies, procedures and Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
• Oversee contract administration, project reporting and client deliverables, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Manage operational expenditure and capital expenditure in accordance with company requirements and delegated authorities.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, operational efficiencies and business growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10 years' relevant industry experience, preferably within marine engineering, shipbuilding, ship repair or Defence.
• Proven experience leading operational teams and managing complex projects.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, financial reporting, contract administration and profitability management.
• Sound understanding of HSEQ requirements, quality management systems and operational compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and financial reporting.
• Previous experience managing marine operations, multidisciplinary engineering teams or Defence-related projects.
• Demonstrated experience driving operational efficiencies, business improvements and commercial performance.
• Experience managing multiple projects and client contracts simultaneously.
