Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
- Process prescriptions accurately in accordance with hospital policies
- Manage pharmacy inventory, stock control, and controlled medications
- Support medication packaging, labeling, and distribution
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with Australian pharmaceutical regulations and hospital standards
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the pharmacy area
- Assist with medication reconciliation and reporting
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Pharmacy Technician / Community Pharmacy (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of medication dispensing procedures
- Experience with pharmacy management software
- Understanding of Australian pharmaceutical regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Immediate availability preferred
