Senior Compliance Officer | National Firm
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Compliance Officer to join the Operations team of an established and growing organisation.
This is an opportunity to step into a varied role where you will oversee internal compliance audits, identify potential risks, review existing processes and work closely with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement across the business.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will enjoy a level of autonomy while working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and conducting internal compliance audits, reviews and reporting.
- Identifying compliance gaps, investigating findings and determining root causes.
- Recommending practical solutions and process improvements to strengthen business practices.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analysing business data and preparing reports to support compliance outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate compliance records, documentation and reporting.
- Working closely with management to promote consistent and efficient work practices.
- Providing compliance input and support across strategic business projects.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven previous experience in compliance, internal auditing or risk management.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience within the legal industry will be highly regarded but is not essential.
