ICYS Ipswich Community Youth Service is excited to be establishing a brand-new Assertive Outreach Program across the West Moreton region, and we're looking for enthusiastic, experienced and committed Case Managers to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a new regional service, work alongside passionate professionals and make a meaningful difference in the lives of some of our most vulnerable young people.
Our new Assertive Outreach Program will provide proactive, intensive and flexible support to young people aged 12 to under 18 who are subject to statutory Child Safety intervention and are disengaging from placements and/or living outside approved placements. As a Case Manager, you'll provide relationship-based outreach support, working alongside young people to improve their safety, stability and wellbeing. You'll build trust, respond to complex situations, coordinate practical supports and work collaboratively with Child Safety, families and other services.
This isn't traditional desk-based case management. We're looking for professionals who are confident working in complex environments, willing to meet young people where they're at, and committed to finding solutions when traditional approaches aren't working.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated case management experience with young people experiencing complex needs.
- Experience in child protection, youth justice, out-of-home care, homelessness or related sectors.
- Sound judgement, resilience and confidence responding to complex and high-risk situations.
- Strong engagement, assessment, risk management and relationship-building skills.
- A trauma-informed, culturally responsive and collaborative approach.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, human services, youth work or a related discipline.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Professionals Encouraged to Apply. ICYS is committed to culturally safe and responsive service delivery. We are particularly keen to hear from experienced Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professionals who bring cultural knowledge, community connections and a passion for improving outcomes for young people. All positions are open to suitably qualified applicants from all backgrounds.

- Multiple full-time positions available, with staged recruitment and commencement.
- SCHADS Award Level 4 remuneration, plus superannuation and applicable entitlements.
- Salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 to increase your take-home pay.
- Negotiated shifts between 8:00am and 8:00pm, Monday to Friday β later starts may suit!
