Think a premium commercial property career has to mean fighting your way into the CBD every morning? Think again. Our client is an established commercial property group with a substantial portfolio, a strong reputation and ambitious plans for its property management division. Based in the suburbs, you’ll get the calibre and professionalism you’d expect from a premium agency, without the painful commute, expensive parking or feeling like another number in a giant corporate.
You’ll take ownership of a commercial portfolio of approximately 60–70 tenants, backed by experienced property and administration support. This is a great move for a Commercial Property Manager who likes autonomy, knows how to build strong client relationships and wants to grow with a business that’s going places.
Duties:
- Previous commercial property management experience and the confidence to independently manage your own portfolio
- Sound knowledge of commercial leases and the fundamentals of commercial property management
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships with owners, tenants and contractors
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle priorities without dropping the ball
- A proactive, accountable and collaborative attitude. You don’t need someone standing over your shoulder to get things done
The skills and experience required for this role:
- Confident communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle tenant, owner and contractor conversations professionally
- High attention to detail, particularly when working with leases, property documentation and critical dates
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of a portfolio while collaborating with the broader property management and administration team
- A proactive and accountable approach, with the judgement to identify issues early and follow them through to resolution
