We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our supportive team at Slade Pharmacy located within the Burnside Hospital in Toorak Gardens. This is a great chance to take the next step in your pharmacy career in a hospital setting where your work directly contributes to better health outcomes for patients every day. Whether you're looking to build on your experience or transition from community pharmacy into a dynamic hospital environment, this permanent full-time role offers hands‑on experience across a variety of pharmacy services. You’ll be part of a friendly, close‑knit team that values collaboration, learning, and delivering modern, patient‑focused care. This position operates Monday to Friday, working 76 hours per fortnight – no evenings or weekends required.
Key responsibilities:
- Dispense medication for hospital patients
- Assist with administration tasks
- Serve customers and discharge patients and assist them with any queries and OTC medication needs
- Order, scan and deliver Imprest medication around the various wards across the hospital
- Order and maintain medications required for the dispensary
- Prepare for and conduct the pharmacy stocktakes
- Assist with receipting invoices
- Assist in the setup and management of clinical trials
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who has the ability to work autonomously and within a team. With previous dispensary experience, you will possess high attention to detail and proven ability to deliver a high standard of customer service.
