About the role
As an Accounts Officer at ICMS Australasia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial operations. This full-time position based in our Sydney office, will involve a range of accounting and administrative duties to support the Financial Controller.
What you'll be doing
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconciling accounts and maintaining detailed financial records
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Providing support to the Financial Controller and other departments as needed
- Identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise
- Adhering to all relevant accounting standards and company policies
What we're looking for
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or other finance qualifications such as a certificate or diploma
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar accounts officer or accounting support role
- Strong attention to detail and a proven track record of accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience using Attaché accounting software and Excel will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Keen interest in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations
