Position Summary
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer with the ability to apply technical expertise in a way which balances commercial profitability, QA adherence, risk management and project leadership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail, exceptional time management and clear communication skills with all members of project teams.
- Tasks and Responsibilities
- Execute electrical design, documentation, and contract administration.
- Undertake design tasks in accordance with relevant codes, NCC and company standards/briefs.
- Contribute to the development and constant improvement of internal processes such as design and calculation tools.
- Engage clients proactively.
- Knowledge and Skills
- 8+ years’ experience of electrical services design for buildings in Australia.
- Experience with electrical design software tools such as Power CAD, Dialix, AGI
- Proficient in general design tools such as Bluebeam and MS Office.
- Skills in Revit, Auto CAD, Navisworks are strongly desirable but not required.
- Knowledge in National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with liaising with Clients and Business Development responsibilities
- Ability to win and deliver projects
- Diverse experience in a range of project types.
- Experience in healthcare projects is advantageous.
- Ability to mentor and lead a team of engineers.
Education & Experience
- Hold a recognised Tertiary Engineering Qualification or other relevant qualification
