About the role
Mitavite is looking for a fit, active and reliable all-rounder to join our production team in Somersby on a casual basis.
This hands-on role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly yard environment while operating industrial sweepers and general plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- General yard duties, including waste management and site tidying.
- Maintain cleanliness of feed mill and grounds , sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces and machinery to maintain a fresh, tidy appearance.
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch areas to the highest hygiene standards.
- Empty bins, manage waste disposal, and ensure recycling is handled correctly.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Safely operate and maintain the industrial sweeper to clean yard, asphalt, and warehouse surfaces.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues immediately.
- Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures.
- Assist the production team as required.
About you
To succeed in the role, you will require
- Previous experience operating a sweeper, forklift or similar machinery in a yard or production environment.
- Forklift licence is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and safety-first work ethic.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional tasks as needed.
