HVAC Service Technician — No On-Call, No Weekend Grind
Air Rite Mechanical Services | South East Queensland
$50–$60 per hour + private-use vehicle + super | Monday to Friday
Tired of the 2am call-outs and weekend roster? So were we.
After 35 years servicing commercial and industrial HVAC across South East Queensland, we've learned one thing: good technicians do their best work when they're not run into the ground. So we built this role around a life, not just a job.
What that actually means
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours. No on-call roster. No weekend roster. The odd after-hours repair comes up — it's genuinely rare, and it's never an expectation hanging over your weekend.
- Flexible around your life. Want a 9-day fortnight? Done. Need family-friendly start and finish times? We'll work with you. We mean it.
- Overtime when you want it — typically 4–6 hours when the work calls for it, paid accordingly, never forced.
What you'll earn
- $55–$60/hr for senior technicians
- $50–$55/hr for techs 3 plus years out of their time
- Plus superannuation, with rate based on your experience and ability.
What you'll get on top
- Fully equipped company vehicle — yours for private use too
- Fuel card, phone and toll allowance
- All PPE and uniform provided
- The backing of a 35-year-old business with steady, reliable workflow — not a fly-by-night outfit
The work
You'll be servicing and maintaining HVAC systems across South East Queensland — fault finding, preventative maintenance, breakdowns and repairs on a genuine variety of equipment. The bulk of our work is commercial and industrial (around three-quarters of what you'll do), with some residential service in the mix.
What you'll bring
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Manual driver's licence
- Australian citizenship is required for this position
- A solid, reliable approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ready for a role that respects your time?
If you're an experienced HVAC technician who's done with the on-call merry-go-round and wants to settle somewhere stable, get in touch. We'd genuinely like to hear from you.
