Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking passionate and motivated Registered Nurses to join our dedicated team at Tomaree Community Hospital, located in the stunning coastal town of Nelson Bay. This role offers opportunities for nurses experienced in Emergency Nursing and those with a strong interest in inpatient medical nursing.
As part of our team, you will be supported by a collaborative and experienced nursing staff, including a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator and senior Emergency Department nurses who are committed to sharing their knowledge and helping you reach your professional goals.
Tomaree Community Hospital provides 24-hour emergency services and an inpatient ward delivering acute medical, palliative, and aged care. This diverse clinical environment allows Registered Nurses to develop a broad range of clinical skills.
About You
You are an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a dynamic community hospital environment. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Experience in critical care or the ability to apply strong clinical skills in acute and complex care environments.
- Flexibility and versatility to work in the emergency department and inpatient medical ward.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
- A compassionate, person-centred approach that supports patients, families and carers.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
