This is a hands-on position responsible for surface preparation of structural steel and fabricated components. You will play a key role in ensuring all work meets required quality standards and deadlines. This role is based at our Black Hill facility, featuring a state-of-the-art blast chamber, air filtration system and overhead cranes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform abrasive blasting (sandblasting) to prepare surfaces for coating
- Ensure all work meets quality specifications and project requirements
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
- Follow safe work procedures and workplace health & safety requirements
- Assist with general paint shop duties as required
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Minimise material waste and use resources efficiently
- Complete timesheets and required documentation
