Help organisations make confident, ethical and commercially sound decisions. Our Tax teams work across corporate tax, international tax, transactions, transfer pricing, dispute resolution, employment taxes, indirect taxes and more, supporting clients as they navigate complex legislation, global trade, commercial change and regulatory expectations. You may research cross-border tax issues, analyse business operations, contribute to compliance and reporting, or help develop recommendations that guide major decisions. If you enjoy structured thinking, problem-solving, global commercial trends and working closely with clients, this pathway could be a great fit.

About rolling intake: We run two rounds of recruitment: main intake (now closed) and rolling intake. We aim to fill as many of our roles as possible through the main intake but, of course, things change and new roles come up. Applying to the rolling intake means your application will be reviewed as a suitable role comes up (and it does happen!).

This pathway would suit graduates from:

  • Accounting
  • Commerce or Business
  • E Economics
  • Law
  • Finance
  • Data or technology-related disciplines (e.g., Data Engineering) with an interest in tax analytics or compliance

The Work Depending on your team, your work could include:

  • Researching and interpreting tax legislation
  • Analysing international tax rules and cross-border implications
  • Supporting tax compliance, advisory or reporting activities
  • Assisting with due diligence for transactions
  • Identifying risks and opportunities in tax processes and controls
  • Helping prepare advice, recommendations and insights for clients

Many graduates join our 18-month Tax Rotation Program, spending six months in three different tax teams. This gives you broad exposure, deeper capability and the chance to discover which specialism fits you best.

Location of this job: Nominate your preferred KPMG office location during the application process.

About the Graduate Program: For students in their final year of study in 2026 or recently graduated and not yet in professional work. A one-year grow pathway with targeted coaching, support and development as you begin your career. Real client work from the start, so you can make an impact and learn straightaway. Start work in February 2027 (some teams may start slightly earlier or later) in a full-time, ongoing graduate role.

  • One of the best parts of my journey has been the incredible graduate cohort I'm part of. We share tips, help each other with work-related questions, and celebrate each other's wins. (Victoria, 2024 graduate)

Big things on offer:

  • Coaching and feedback from day one: Your performance development manager and broader team will help you build your skills with ongoing support.
  • Build your professional skills: You've got the degree now learn how to apply it in real-world situations with clients and teams.
  • Wellbeing, diversity and community: We track our progress across 21 public commitments in our Impact Plan, including gender equity, Indigenous inclusion, mental health and learning.
  • Employee discounts: Access hundreds of deals (JB Hi-Fi, Woolworths, Airbnb and more) through our SmartSpend app.
  • Clubs, networks and connection: Join communities for running, books, cooking, badminton, card games and more - or start your own.
