This is a hands‑on role responsible for ensuring vehicles and the dealership are presented to the highest standard.
You'll play an important role in preparing vehicles for sale and customer delivery while helping maintain a clean, organised, and professional dealership environment.
Key responsibilities
- Wash, vacuum, detail and prepare vehicles for display and customer delivery
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the dealership yard at all times
- Ensure vehicles are lined up, displayed professionally and ready for sale
- Safely move vehicles around the dealership and between locations as required
- Transport vehicles to and from mechanics, detailers, wholesalers and other service providers
- Monitor fuel levels and refuel vehicles when required
- Replace key batteries, vehicle batteries and install or remove number plates
- Assist with vehicle handover preparation
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workplace, including the yard, office surrounds and storage areas
- General property maintenance including rubbish removal, sweeping, window cleaning, weed control and keeping facilities well presented
About you
- A current Australian Driver's Licence (manual)
- Previous experience in vehicle detailing, yard operations, automotive retail or a similar role (preferred but not essential)
- The ability to confidently and safely manoeuvre a variety of vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
- Good time management and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- A reliable and punctual work ethic
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- Professional presentation and good communication skills
