About the Role
We are partnering with a large Queensland Government department to recruit multiple Engineers across various seniority levels (PO3 - PO5) to join the Preservation & Maintenance team.
The team is responsible for maintaining and protecting infrastructure assets while enhancing and improving safety through delivery of maintenance, rehabilitation and various safety projects.
- Provide reports on the progress of works and actual and forecast expenditure.
- Act as "Representative of the Principal" for the delivery of contracts as defined and delegated at respective project phases.
- Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are identified and addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.
- Manage the calling and assessment of tenders and the contract awarding process for construction projects in the Region's Roads Implementation Program.
- Provide high level engineering advice and input into planning and design suitability and options, the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved.
- The role is also required to assist graduates, other engineers and technical staff to resolve technical issues on projects and mentor them to deliver programs on time and to budget.
