Currently looking for an Infrastructure/Security Engineer for a 6-month contract to address a backlog of critical security audit findings. In this hands-on operational role, you will take ownership of security remediation items from initial investigation through implementation, testing, change management, and final audit closure. You will work closely with cross-functional technical teams to harden infrastructure, resolve unknown legacy assets, and deliver verifiable proof of compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Remediation Ownership: Take findings from the backlog through investigation, technical implementation, testing, and formal audit closure.
- Risk-Based Prioritisation: Address urgent vulnerabilities and material security exposures prior to low-priority configuration tweaks.
- Change Management: Prepare clear change requests, conduct impact assessments, arrange necessary approvals, and maintain rollback plans.
- Audit & Compliance Documentation: Record initial findings, remediation actions, test results, evidence artifacts, and any residual risks.
- Reporting & Tracking: Provide structured weekly progress reports covering key milestones, blockers, dependencies, risks, and estimated completion dates.
To be successful in this position you must be an experienced Infrastructure/Security Engineer who has hands-on experience in IT infrastructure operations, with demonstrable experience executing security remediation initiatives.
