Staircase Joiner/Apprentice Joiner to join our growing team, producing high-quality staircases for builders in the residential industry.
This role involves manufacturing timber staircases from shop drawings through to final assembly and install, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, accuracy, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture timber staircases including treads, risers, stringers, handrails, and balustrade components
- Interpret and work from shop drawings, plans, and specifications
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish staircase components to a high standard
- Work with solid timber, glass, aluminum and other materials
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop learning the day-to-day operations
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues proactively
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Working onsite with our site team installing manufactured stairs, aluminium balustrades and glass balustrades
- Good time management, focused on completing tasks efficiently to a high standard
- White Card
- Valid White Card must be held before commencing employment
- Current NSW driver's license preferable but not necessary
- What you will learn
- Experience in staircase manufacturing, joinery, or fine carpentry is preferred however full training will be given to all applicants
- Some trade exposure in joinery or carpentry is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Experience with CNC, machinery, hand and power tools
- Understanding of stair construction methods and Australian Standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- White Card
- Valid White Card must be held before commencing employment
- Current NSW driver's license preferable but not necessary
