We are a clinical stage Immuno-Oncology company, developing a portfolio of first-in-class products for the earlier detection and personalised treatment of cancers with unmet needs. A truly global organisation, we have a dual NASDAQ/ASX listing, an international board of Directors and our Executive team is based in the USA and Europe.
As a company that was also Australian founded, Australia remains a significant focus for our early-stage clinical development programs. We are currently managing three Australian dose escalation studies across multiple sites, targeting a range of oncology indications. We anticipate commencing further studies within the next 12 months.
Much of the groundwork required to establish provider relationships, initiate new sites and engage with the broader medical/clinical community has been put in place. We are now seeking to appoint a Director-level Clinical Operations professional to assume a broad-ranging clinical leadership role that ensures the successful execution of the Australian clinical program.
Collaborating and integrating with the US-based Medical and Clinical Leadership team, the Director of Clinical Operations has oversight of current and future clinical programs in Australia, working closely with clinical service providers and study sites to ensure trials meet contractual obligations. The role will effectively represent our company in the Australian oncology community, and will engage widely with Principal investigators, Key Opinion Leaders, specialist clinicians and research scientists.
Experience Profile sought:
- The role will be hands-on, so the appointment calls for exceptional project leadership experience in early-stage clinical studies, domain expertise in oncology studies and a deep knowledge of all constituent activities that support clinical trial execution.
- Strategic agility, confident decision making and comfort with ambiguity are core personal attributes, as the role will see you concurrently manage competing priorities; from creating ethics and regulatory pathways to supporting day-to-day site activity, financial management and oncology sector profile building.
- Experience gained within a clinical-stage biotechnology environment will be singularly preferred, though clinical leadership within a CRO will be favourably considered.
- Excellent knowledge of governance structures that regulate clinical studies and the registration of therapeutic products are expected, as is the ability to forge relationships and influence at the most senior levels of cancer care.
This is a highly autonomous, trusted advisor position, with significant scope to drive clinical strategy. Fully remote, this opportunity will appeal to clinical leaders at the pinnacle of their career who want to translate deep experience and networks into diversity and autonomy. We will offer an excellent compensation package that incorporates short and long-term performance incentives to our referred applicant.
