ModX Pty Ltd is a Central Queensland-based construction company specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of high-quality steel-frame modular buildings for residential, commercial, and workforce accommodation projects. By managing every stage of the construction process in-house, from design and manufacturing to delivery and installation, ModX delivers innovative, efficient, and durable building solutions while maintaining exceptional quality, safety, and customer service.
We are currently seeking an experienced full-time carpenter to join our construction team based in Rockhampton. Annual salary range: $80,000 - $85,000 + superannuation.
Key responsibilities
- Building wall frames, partitions, floors, raised platforms, counters, cabinets, shelving, joinery and temporary and permanent display structures
- Interpreting drawings to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation techniques
- Cutting and assembling timber and other materials
- Constructing and installing of joinery, wall paneling, counters, display units, and integrated signage features
- Assembling or dismantling formwork
- Assessing and making corrective adjustments to existing fittings
- Evaluating materials and costs for replacing old equipment and installing new components
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
- Performing accurate calculations and measurements for assembling partitions
Skills and qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the field
- Relevant AQF Certificate III or equivalent
- Driver's License
- Ability to use carpentry tools and handling small components requiring manual dexterity
- Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques
- Experience working with power tools
- Ability to work efficiently within a team in high-rise environments
