This role will play an important part in building a modern, data-driven organisation by helping transition from fragmented reporting to scalable, trusted analytics built on governed enterprise data.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions using Power BI, SQL, and enterprise data products to support data-driven decision-making across Housing Australia.

  • Build and maintain analytical datasets, data models, and automated reporting processes, leveraging modern data platforms and governed enterprise data assets to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand information needs, refine analytical outputs, and improve data quality, reporting standards, and data product adoption.
  • Ensure strong data governance and compliance practices, maintaining the accuracy, integrity, security, and auditability of analytical outputs and reporting solutions

Skills and experience

  • Strong experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.
  • Advanced technical capability in SQL and Power BI, including data modelling, dashboard development, data transformation, validation, and the creation of stakeholder-focused analytical solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R and modern data architectures, with experience working in enterprise data environments, data warehouses, governed datasets, and reusable data products.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interrogate data, identify trends and risks, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements, with experience working in structured, controlled environments and delivering accurate, auditable analytical outputs.
