We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our construction team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, management and delivery of residential construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, company procedures and construction timelines.
The successful applicant will oversee residential building projects from commencement through to completion while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, communication and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Procedures
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, building codes, company procedures and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
- Maintaining safe and compliant work sites.
- Ensuring company systems and procedures are consistently followed.
Customer & Stakeholder Relationships
- Maintaining professional communication with clients, trades, suppliers, estimators, the licensed builder, consultants and management.
- Providing timely and accurate project updates.
- Representing the company professionally at all times.
Construction Delivery & Quality
- Coordinating the delivery of residential construction projects.
- Monitoring construction progress and maintaining project timelines.
- Ensuring homes are constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications and company quality standards.
- Identifying and resolving construction issues promptly.
Site Coordination & Trade Management
- Coordinating subcontractors and construction activities.
- Scheduling trades and maintaining construction sequencing.
- Monitoring workmanship and quality.
- Communicating project delays or issues to management.
Material Ordering & Cost Control
- Reviewing purchase orders.
- Coordinating material ordering and deliveries.
- Monitoring material usage and minimising unnecessary costs.
Planning & Systems
- Maintaining system project information.
- Recording site notes and progress.
- Maintaining the Call Forward Sheet.
- Ensuring project documentation is complete before works commence.
Communication & Reporting
- Providing regular progress updates to management.
- Coordinating communication between site operations and office staff.
- Ensuring in-house trades are informed of upcoming work.
- Communicating changes and issues promptly.
Skills & Experience
- Experience supervising residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of residential construction, sequencing and quality standards.
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Competency using Constructor, BuildXact or equivalent systems.
