About the Role
We're seeking a capable and motivated cook who can hit the ground running in a busy pub kitchen. The successful applicant will assist with day-to-day kitchen operations, preparing and delivering quality meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their cooking and works well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals from our bistro menu to a consistently high standard.

Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services.

Assist with food preparation, portion control and stock rotation.

Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.

Follow food safety procedures and hygiene standards.

Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management.

Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.

Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation and service times.

Minimise food wastage and assist with general kitchen operations.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience working as a cook in a pub, bistro, restaurant or similar commercial kitchen.

Ability to work independently and confidently during service.

Strong time management and organisational skills.

A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.

Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy periods.

Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Availability for a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends.

Relevant cookery qualifications are desirable but not essential for applicants with suitable experience.
