  • Take genuine ownership of contract and funding administration for a nationally significant public health surveillance function
  • Work directly with the Program Manager, with real visibility into how two national surveillance systems are run
  • Coordinate directly with contributing laboratories across the country, rather than working behind the scenes only
  • Build breadth across project management, data governance, contracts and reporting, rather than a single narrow function
  • A long-running contract through to mid-2028, with an extension option, offering real continuity

  • Coordinating the onboarding and reintegration of contributing laboratories into the surveillance systems
  • Overseeing data governance processes, including data access arrangements and data requests
  • Supporting the development and publication of reports, publications and communications
  • Coordinating data dashboards and analytics activities
  • Maintaining operational resources and user access, and provide broader administrative support as required

The Ideal Person

You’re comfortable taking ownership of contracts, data governance and reporting in a technical environment, and you bring the judgement to manage competing priorities without close supervision. A background in public health, microbiology or laboratory settings would help you get up to speed quickly, though it isn’t essential.

You will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Experience managing service provider or ICT contracts, including procurement and funding administration
  • Experience with data governance processes, including managing data access and data requests
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience coordinating across multiple parties or sites
