About the role
We're looking for an experienced allied health professional with strong musculoskeletal
knowledge and a passion for improving injury management outcomes.
This is a chance to use your clinical expertise in a different way. You won't be delivering hands-
on treatment. Instead, you'll work alongside our Injury Nurse Coordinators, giving them clinical
guidance, coaching and education so they become more capable and confident in managing
You’ll also talk directly with treating allied health providers. You'll discuss treatment
approaches, offer a clinical perspective and encourage practice that lines up with current
evidence and best-practice treatment guidelines.
You’ll work across workers' compensation, CTP and other compensable injury schemes, as
well as with private health insurance members. In this role you’ll help build effective recovery
pathways, improve treatment quality and make sure injured people get the right support to
recover as well as they can.
What you'll be doing
- Provide clinical guidance: Be a clinical resource for Injury Nurse Coordinators. Help them understand musculoskeletal injuries, treatment options, what recovery should look like and the rehabilitation pathways available.
- Coach and develop capability: Upskill and mentor Injury Nurse Coordinators so they're more confident spotting recovery barriers and treatment concerns and managing injuries well.
- Influence treatment approaches: Talk with allied health providers about treatment plans that may not match best-practice guidelines, and encourage evidence-based, appropriate rehabilitation.
- Promote best practice: Review injury management approaches and treatment recommendations, and find ways to improve clinical outcomes and recovery pathways.
- Support complex presentations: Give clinical input and recommendations on complex musculoskeletal injuries, or on cases where recovery isn't progressing as expected.
- Build collaborative relationships: Work constructively with treating practitioners, allied health providers, insurers and internal teams to coordinate injury management.
- Drive continuous improvement: Find ways to improve clinical knowledge, injury management practice and the overall quality of recovery support, and help shape the program as it grows.
- Keep accurate clinical documentation.
About you
