On the front-end side, you will prepare advice relating to income tax, CGT, GST, applications for private rulings and Australian duties. Back-end matters will include ATO reviews, ATO audits, notices of objection, references to the ART and appeals to the Federal Court.

You will play an instrumental role in the team, working on large and complex deals, projects, and disputes for the firm’s key clients giving you the opportunity to learn directly from experienced practitioners, and accelerate your growth into a well-rounded and autonomous tax adviser.

You will be a skilled and technical tax lawyer with at least 2-3 years’ experience working on specialised tax advice, tax controversy and general commercial matters. You will be highly capable in ascertaining and analysing the facts, grasping broad tax issues, research, and drafting tailored advice with supervision. You will also have knowledge of document management systems and research tools.

You will be committed to achieving desired client outcomes, with the capability of working independently and managing your own workflow under supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and reliable professional to advance their career and gain access to interesting and varied work.

While we welcome interest from finance professionals with accounting experience, it is critical that you also have solid legal experience practising as a lawyer.
