The opportunity involves management of contracts with customers, vendors, suppliers, partners, or employees. This includes contract drafting, execution, and analysis for the purpose of maximising financial and operational performance and minimising risk. Responsibilities include:
- Negotiating the terms and conditions in contracts and ensuring compliance.
- Documenting any changes/amendments during execution of the contract.
- Creating and maintaining a contract database for easy access and retrieval.
- Providing end-to-end assistance and guidance for the entire lifecycle of the contract.
- Ensuring all contract management activities are executed in accordance with Company/Business Unit directives and instructions.
- Conducting contract and claims negotiations and settlements.
- Reviewing and commenting on commercial tender terms and conditions.
- Analysing prime contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk.
- Coordinating with BU Head of CM for a common approach to contract management within the HUB.
- Defining procedures applicable to HUB in coordination with BU.
Your background should include:
- A bachelor's degree in law.
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience.
- Experience in contract management/legal in EP/EPC energy companies or similar industrial manufacturing companies.
- Experience in working within internationally staffed teams and with international contractual partners.
- Solid experience in negotiation, change management, claim management, and contract-related issues.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Systematic and structured work style.
- Ability to negotiate in English; any additional language is an advantage.
