We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical Trade Assistant to join our Welshpool team.
In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for assisting Diesel Fitters with service and repairs of heavy engineering parts and components.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist trades people conducting repairs of mechanical equipment and parts.
- Assist with maintaining the workshop and associated equipment in a safe, clean, and tidy condition.
- Operation of grinders, spray painting equipment and other tools and machinery as required in a safe manner.
About You
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate grinders, spray painting equipment and other tools and machinery safely
- Excellent attention to detail
- Hands on person who can prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Forklift licence (beneficial but not essential)
- Previous experience working in mining / manufacturing industry (preferred)
