A-Grade Electrician – Join a Team That Has Your Back
At Hit The Switch, we believe electrical work should be done better. Our mission is to deliver white-collar-level service in a blue-collar profession. We’re a small team of six servicing Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs and the CBD, and we look out for each other. The work is varied service and maintenance across homes and businesses, including fault-finding, upgrades, installations, and repairs. No new housing estates and no large construction sites. Just a good variety of electrical work done well.
We’re not looking for average electricians. We’re looking for the best electricians. People who take pride in their work, think through problems properly and stand behind the quality of the job. If you believe you’re one of the best in the field, we’d like you to apply and show us what you can do.
Do you have what it takes?
At Hit The Switch, our team is built around a few simple values:
- Fair – we treat customers and each other the way we expect to be treated.
- Right – we take the time to do the job properly.
- Solved – we don’t walk away from problems; we work them through.
- Excellence – good work matters, and we hold ourselves to a high standard.
- Improvement – we keep learning and getting better at the craft.
You’ll work mostly in your own fully equipped van, with the team coming together for larger jobs. We run quarterly team lunches and workshops to stay connected and keep improving. Every van on the road also sponsors a child in Uganda, which is one small way our work contributes to something bigger.
What we’re looking for
- A-Grade Electrical Licence
- At least 2 years’ experience as a qualified electrician (post-apprenticeship)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Driver’s licence
- Police check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check is a bonus
What you’ll get
- $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience
- Company van and phone
- Full-time, stable work Monday to Friday (no weekend work)
- Ongoing training and opportunities to grow
- A supportive team that takes pride in doing the job properly
If you’re confident in your ability and want to work with a team that values quality, professionalism and backing each other, we’d like to hear from you. Send through your resume and a short introduction about yourself.
Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs. Don't transfer any money or complete suspicious online surveys. If you see something suspicious, report this job ad.
