Hindustan Imports is a family-owned processor and packer of food ingredients (including seeds, grains, nuts, herbs and spices) for the food service and retail grocery industry. We are seeking an experienced production assistant / machine operator for immediate start to join our team in Dandenong, Victoria.
Key responsibilities:
- Operating food processing and packing equipment, including vertical form-fill-seal machines.
- Pre and post cleaning of equipment to the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Some manual repetitive lifting up to 25kg.
- Work closely with other members of the production and warehouse teams.
- Other general duties connected with food processing.
Qualifications and skills:
- Experience working in food industry processing/packaging equipment.
- Sound mechanical abilities and basic computer literacy.
- Attention to detail and good communication skills.
Remuneration: Casual role, leading to permanent full time 38 hours per week.
