A Talent Acquisition Officer is required by Harvey Beef to join our Recruitment team, recruiting roles across our production environment.

The Talent Acquisition Officer Role

Are you up for a challenging role in the Human Resources Department? We are seeking a highly motivated individual with recruitment experience, excellent communication and administrative skills, and a desire to learn and improve. As part of a small recruitment team, you will be responsible for a range of recruitment activities in a fast-paced blue-collar environment at Harvey Beef. The Talent Acquisition Officer role is an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level and be mentored towards a career pathway in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Alongside the Talent Acquisition team, ensure all end-to-end recruitment needs are met at the Harvey Beef site for production employees.
• Daily review of all applicants from advertising platforms and reporting of progress.
• Conduct job interviews and reference checks to ensure candidates' skills and qualifications match the job requirements.
• Ensure all onboarding and offboarding requirements are met, including checking work rights, booking pre-employment medicals and preparing for inductions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour legislation, implementing required changes to keep company recruitment processes compliant.
• Act as a single point of contact for managers regarding recruitment topics.
• Participate in job fairs and career events.
• Develop and maintain advertising and new opportunities to recruit talent across the business.

Selection Criteria

• Previous exposure to high volume recruitment (Desirable).
• Fast thinking, energetic and motivated.
• Ability to source candidates from a wide range of resources in a challenging economic environment.
• Have a broad understanding of a range of HR functions.
• Able to manage a hiring process to ensure the staffing needs of an organisation are fully met at all times.
• Meat Industry experience would be an advantage.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Experience in working with different visa streams would be an advantage.
