  • Job title: Speech Pathologist

Job type: Contractor position, flexible hours

Salary offer: 60% split on billings

Location: Brisbane (Wynnum, Northside (North lakes area) and Carina and surrounds.)

    About the company:

Our client offers a unique Supported Independent Practice Model designed for experienced Speech Pathologists who are ready to step into greater autonomy—without sacrificing support, stability, or connection.

This is not traditional employment, and it’s not going it alone. Instead, you’ll operate independently while being backed by an established brand, strong referral pathways, and a highly supportive clinical network.

Built by clinicians, for clinicians, the organisation fosters a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based culture where individuality is valued, collaboration is purposeful, and communication is open and transparent. You’ll be part of a connected community that supports both your professional growth and wellbeing—while giving you the freedom to shape your work your way.

    About the role:

This contractor opportunity is ideal for experienced Speech Pathologists seeking flexibility, independence, and control over their clinical work.

You will manage your own caseload, schedule, and clinical focus—choosing the clients and areas you want to work in—while leveraging the systems, infrastructure, and support provided behind the scenes.

Key features of the role include:

    • Operating your own independent practice under an established brand

    • Managing your own caseload, appointments, and clinical direction

    • Delivering high-quality, client-centred speech pathology services

    • Accessing diverse clinical opportunities across the lifespan (e.g. early intervention, disability, literacy, feeding, stuttering, adult services)

    • Collaborating with a network of experienced clinicians for peer support and case discussions

This model allows you to focus on clinical care—without the burden of managing referrals, admin, or business development alone.

    Benefits:

    • Autonomy & Flexibility – Design your schedule and caseload around your lifestyle and goals

    • Consistent Referrals – Strong demand and established referral pathways to support a sustainable caseload

    • Established Brand & Presence – Operate under a trusted brand with ongoing marketing and SEO support

    • Administrative Support – Assistance with client enquiries, intake, billing, invoicing, and payment processing

    • Systems & Tools – Access to streamlined workflows, documentation templates, and AI note-taking software

    • Clinical & Peer Support – Ongoing mentoring, supervision, and collaboration with experienced clinicians

    • Professional Growth – Opportunities to expand into new clinical areas with targeted supervision

    • Sustainable Income Model – Scale your workload up or down depending on your personal and professional goals

    • Supportive Culture – Neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based environment that values flexibility and individuality

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Speech Pathologist with relevant tertiary qualifications

    • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (or equivalent)

    • Demonstrated clinical experience across relevant practice areas

    • Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centred care

    • Interest in a flexible, contractor-based model with autonomy and accountability

If you’re an experienced clinician ready to move beyond traditional employment and build a flexible, supported, and sustainable practice—we’d love to start a conversation.
