Accredited Sports Dietitian – Cairns

Health Management Dietitians are looking for a Sports Dietitian with that extra bit of personality, someone with spark who loves people, thrives in a fast-paced private practice, and wants to build a career. We’re a busy, well-established private practice with a strong referral base and a reputation for exceptional client care. You’ll step into a thriving caseload with plenty of support behind you. This role is ideal for a Sports Dietitian who loves sport, performance nutrition and working with motivated clients, while also thriving in a busy private practice environment.

What Your Role Looks Like

• One-on-one consultations with Junior, Amateur and elite clients along with our general clinical caseload
• Working with local sporting teams, clubs and academies across FNQ
• Delivering performance nutrition strategies including fueling, recovery, hydration and body composition goals
• Presentations, workshops and social media contribution

You’ll see a mix of general nutrition and clinical clients on top of a sports nutrition base, building strong private practice consulting skills. You won’t be on your own. You’ll be joining a supportive team of six Dietitians, along with our Managing Director, Practice Manager, and dedicated admin team who all have your back. We provide ongoing clinical training, regular mentoring, and structured professional development to help you grow, thrive, and feel confident in your role, backed by an annual professional development allowance to support your continued growth.

Extensive experience isn’t necessary, but a strong work ethic and drive to succeed absolutely are. We’ll teach you how to become the strongest Private Practice Sports Dietitian possible, and after 12 months with us you’ll be more skilled, confident, and well-rounded than anywhere else in the country. While you don’t need prior private practice experience, you must be willing to adapt and embrace our successful and unique consulting style. Requirements:

• Current DA membership with full or provisional APD status or willingness to commit to the APD program if successful
• Accredited Sports Dietitian with Sports Dietitians Australia OR willingness to commit to the process of becoming an Accredited Sports Dietitian
• Must be able to pass a police check
• QLD Blue Card or ability to apply for one
• Ability to build rapport with others
• Business mindset
• Willingness to relocate to Cairns
• Passion for sport and performance nutrition

Employment will commence as a permanent full-time, minimum 38-hour per week salaried position. 12 month probation applies. $75,000–$90,000 + Super. Generous performance bonuses (eligible after 6 months or sooner if experienced). 2 days paid Professional Development leave in addition to annual and sick leave. Yearly professional development retreat. Position commences end of April/Start of May 2026.
