Now is your opportunity to join Haymes Paint Launceston where you will be able to build your confidence in Paint & Colour and become the expert Sales Assistant that our Launceston store is looking for.
As a Sales Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Greeting customers and providing solutions.
- Handling cash & electronic payments.
- Replenishing stock and maintaining high visual merchandising standards.
- Providing service, advice and product solutions to both trade and retail customers.
- Handling all paint related questions for all customers, including tinting paint products and colour matching to customer requirements.
- Inventory control (goods receiving/stocktaking) and stock replenishment.
- Taking orders in-store and by phone.
- Building strong relationships with repeat customers in store and fellow colleagues.
- Assisting with visual displays, store presentation and general housekeeping.
- Complying with safe work practices.
About you:
- A driver's licence to make local deliveries.
- Previous experience working in a customer service role.
- A willingness to learn, grow and develop with Haymes Paint.
- Experience with stock handling and merchandising.
- Confidence to perform manual tasks.
- Point of Sale (POS) system knowledge or appropriate tech-savvy.
- Paint or trade experience.
