Haverick Meats is seeking an experienced skilled and reliable High Reach Forklift Driver to join our warehousing team. This position commences as a casual position with the potential to become permanent. We are based in Botany, NSW 2019.
As a High Reach Forklift Driver, your role is crucial to the warehouse operation. You will release product to Production, and receive product delivered. This will be done daily whilst also rotating product ensuring effective inventory management.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting pre-operation checks on forklift equipment & RF scanner to ensure all safety features are functioning correctly
- Operating high reach forklift equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and store products within the warehouse (with RF scanner)
- Transporting goods between loading area, storage locations, dispatch zone and deploy to Production whilst maintaining strict safety protocols (with RF scanner)
- Stacking products to maximum heights in accordance with warehouse specifications and safety requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements and documenting any damage or discrepancies (Ensuring RF scans update correctly on a daily basis)
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and warehouse procedures
- Working with team members to optimise workflow and meet daily operational targets
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
What we're looking for
- Current and valid High Reach Forklift Licence (or equivalent certification recognised in NSW)
- Proven experience operating high reach forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety standards, particularly relating to forklift operation
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work safely at heights and manage the physical demands of the role
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Experience working in a food or cold storage environment is advantageous
- A commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to best practice procedures
