Hatch is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Perth office, supporting the delivery of major mining, energy and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead the civil design and delivery of complex projects across all phases, from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across a range of civil engineering disciplines including bulk earthworks, site development, drainage, roads, pavements and water management infrastructure. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate with project managers, clients and technical specialists to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions that create positive change for our clients and communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver civil engineering design for mining, energy and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee designs for bulk earthworks, site grading, drainage, roads, pavements, and water management infrastructure.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
- Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with Australian standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligible for chartership through Engineers Australia; RPEQ highly regarded.
- 8+ years' experience within mining, resources, energy, industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in bulk earthworks, site grading, drainage, stormwater management, road and pavement design.
- Sound understanding of hydrology, hydraulics and water management infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, 12d Model, AutoCAD and other industry-standard design software.
- Experience leading design teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and mentoring skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a consulting environment.
