Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane. As the successful candidate, you will:
- Deliver Electrical and Instrumentation design and drafting activities across a range of projects.
- Develop and review 2D and 3D layouts, models, drawings, and design documentation.
- Coordinate E&I design activities within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Support the development of project schedules and capital cost estimates.
- Participate in design reviews and technical support during construction, commissioning, and project execution phases.
- Mentor and support junior designers while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
You will bring to the role:
- Experience in Electrical & Instrumentation design within mining, energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Experience working on large multidisciplinary EPCM projects.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, with Bentley design tools highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of Australian and international electrical and instrumentation standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working on large industrial processing plant projects.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project environment.
