Accounts Receivable Officer | 6-Month Contract | Gold Coast

A well-established Gold Coast organisation is looking for an experienced AR Officer to join its finance team on a 6-month contract. You’ll start by backfilling a team member’s leave, with a proper handover before they move across to two major system upgrades. You’ll then keep the AR function running smoothly while those projects go live.

This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting the numbers exactly right. You’ll own the billing cycle twice a month on a mix of high-value key accounts and high-volume smaller accounts. Every step is fully documented, so you can get up to speed quickly and then run it with confidence. Between billing runs, you’ll look after daily bank reconciliations, data reconciliations and the AR inbox.

What you’ll be doing

• Running the end-to-end billing cycle twice a month, reconciling source data to the billing system before invoices go out
• Managing a portfolio that ranges from major corporate accounts to a large base of smaller customers
• Completing daily bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Handling customer queries and making sensible calls on smaller matters yourself
• Sending monthly statements and reminders, with light-touch follow-up on key accounts

What you’ll bring

• At least 2 years’ experience in AR, billing or a similar finance role
• Strong reconciliation skills and confidence working with large data sets and high-value invoices
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
• The maturity to work autonomously once trained
• Good communication skills and solid Excel
