Contract Administrator - Commercial Construction
About the Role
Harrison Barratt Group is partnering with a respected Sydney commercial builder delivering a varied mix of new build, fit-out, refurbishment and D&C projects. They're looking for a Contract Administrator to support delivery on projects up to $30M and grow toward Project Manager.
What You'll Do
- Manage subcontractor procurement, including scopes, tender comparisons and letting packages
- Administer subcontracts, progress claims, variations and payment schedules
- Track costs and help prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
- Manage RFIs, documentation, shop drawings and design coordination
- Support the Project Manager with programme, client and consultant communication
- Assist with defects, close-out and handover documentation
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years' experience as a Contract Administrator with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 commercial builder
- Experience across new build, fit-out, refurbishment and/or D&C projects
- A solid understanding of subcontract administration, variations and progress claims
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using Procore, Aconex or similar platforms, and Microsoft Excel
- A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field (desired)
