The CSA Mine is located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines and is Australia’s highest-grade copper mine. Join our team as a Production Driller in Cobar! We’re offering multiple opportunities for motivated individuals to become a vital part of our dynamic team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Drilling production, service and cable holes to design and standard.
Working on a 2:2 weeks (days & nights) roster, this position is available on a residential basis, DIDO, or FIFO from Brisbane or Sydney.
About You
- Experience with EPIROC drill rigs.
- Minimum three (3) years in an underground mining role.
- Conduct pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting on drilling equipment.
- Read and follow drill plans, markings, and survey instructions.
- Maintain safe work areas, manage hazards, and follow underground safety procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a medical.
