Harmon Plumbing and Lighting – Smithfield NSW
Harmon Plumbing & Lighting is seeking an experienced, motivated and customer-focused individual to join our internal plumbing sales team.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving trade counter sales, customer enquiries, quotations, order processing and coordination with our warehouse team.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent customer service, has strong attention to detail and can confidently manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
Key responsibilities
Assist trade and retail customers at the counter, over the phone and via email.
Provide product advice, pricing, availability and suitable alternatives.
Prepare quotations, process sales orders and follow up customer enquiries.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Coordinate customer orders, deliveries and collections with the warehouse team.
Monitor outstanding orders and backorders, keeping customers informed of progress.
Resolve customer enquiries and order discrepancies efficiently.
Maintain accurate customer records and order information.
Assist with warehouse operations, including picking and packing orders when required.
Skills and experience
Previous experience in internal sales, trade counter sales or a similar customer service role.
Plumbing industry experience and product knowledge are highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Confident computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
Strong numerical skills and accuracy when processing orders.
A proactive, reliable and team-oriented approach.
Current driver's licence.
Experience working with plumbing supplies or building materials
