Our practice is built on strong patient relationships, continuity of care, and a genuine commitment to supporting people to live healthier lives. We work closely as a team of experienced GPs, nurses and administrative staff, creating a friendly and supportive environment where both our patients and our people feel valued.

The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at DoN. The main focus of this role will be conducting comprehensive health assessments, wound care, immunisations, and assisting GPs with procedures such as IUDs, Iron Infusions, and skin procedures. You will work closely with our experienced GPs and nursing team to provide high-quality, patient-centred care to our local community. This role would suit someone who enjoys building lasting relationships with patients, providing health education, and working in a welcoming, community-minded general practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing patient education and coaching to help patients achieve their health goals
  • Administering immunisations
  • Wound Care
  • Assisting with procedures
  • Assisting with iron infusions
  • Working collaboratively with GPs and Registered Nurses to support individualised patient care
  • Supporting the triage and prioritisation of urgent or emergency presentations
  • Contributing to a positive, respectful and team-oriented practice culture

About you:

  • Current AHPRA registration as an enrolled/registered nurse
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a nurse
  • Working autonomously and independently as well as part of a team
  • Interest in preventative health care and GP nursing
  • Strong clinical, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Warm, approachable patient-focused attitude
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
  • A commitment to accurate documentation, confidentiality and high-quality clinical care
  • Italian language skills, which are highly desirable but not essential

Why join the DoN Family? At Doctors of Northcote, we take our work seriously but we also believe the workplace should be enjoyable. We are a friendly and supportive team that values collaboration, a good sense of humour and taking the time to connect with one another. As part of our team, you can look forward to:

  • Weekly coffee runs, courtesy of the clinic
  • BBQs on our lovely balcony (when the weather allows)
  • Team outings and team building events
  • A welcoming and inclusive team environment
  • Working in a vibrant inner-north neighbourhood surrounded by independent cafes, local retailers, small businesses and all the op shopping you need
  • The opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and become a valued part of the Northcote community
