About The Role And Team
We have an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with 2-4 years of post-admission experience (PAE) to join our Brisbane Corporate & Commercial team, working alongside partners and lawyers in a well-established team. The role will also offer opportunities to work with our Corporate & Commercial partners and lawyers in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Newcastle. This is a fantastic hands-on corporate & commercial role, with significant learning and development opportunities from the experienced and well-regarded team and the opportunity to work with interesting clients across a variety of industries.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Drafting and negotiating transaction documents including share sale agreements, shareholders agreements and investment documents;
- Working on a range of matters relating to M&A and capital markets transactions, including preparation of capital raising documents, due diligence and attending to completion of transactions;
- Liaising with clients and corporate and other advisers, as well as other groups within our firm who provide specialist input on corporate transactional issues;
- Being part of a team on other commercial transactions, such as joint ventures and management equity arrangements;
- Drafting and advising on key commercial contracts for clients from time to time.
About You
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- 2-4 years of PAE in corporate and commercial law;
- Experience in capital markets or M&A transactions;
- Technical excellence and a can-do attitude;
- A commercially savvy approach to corporate transactions.
