GV Trade Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Plumber to join our growing team in Mansfield, Victoria. This is a full-time, on-site role working across residential and commercial projects throughout the region. You’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration as well as hot water systems while delivering exceptional customer service and workmanship.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing new HVAC systems and mechanical services equipment including split systems, wood heaters, evaporative cooling, gas heating, hot water and exhaust systems
- Carrying out preventative maintenance on HVAC systems
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across a variety of HVAC equipment
- Providing practical advice and recommendations to customers
- Completing service documentation and job records accurately
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards, regulations, and codes
- Working independently and as part of a supportive team environment
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant trade qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration or Mechanical Plumbing
- Current Plumbing License (preferred/required depending on experience)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in HVAC or Mechanical Plumbing
- Applicants with 1–2 years of relevant experience and apprentices are encouraged to apply
- Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, servicing, and fault finding (extensive training and support provided)
- Experience with wood heaters, hot waters, split systems and ducted systems highly regarded
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads effectively
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Australian work rights or valid work visa essential
