Be involved in every step of the process - from receiving fruit and pressing to fermentation management, aging, blending, and packaging. You will work directly with our head cider maker to maintain strict quality standards and deliver a consistent, exceptional product.
Requirements
- Physical Capability: Ability to stand for long periods, work in cold/wet cellar conditions, and safely lift up to 25kg.
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to sanitation, precision & cleaning.
- Workplace Safety: Familiarity with chemical safety, safe handling of high-pressure equipment, and cellar procedures.
- Bonus: Technical repairs skills & machine servicing capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Fruit Processing & Fermentation: Assist with fruit receiving, milling, pressing, yeast inoculation, and monitoring active fermentations (tracking gravity, temperature, and pH).
- Cellar Operations: Perform transfers, rackings, carbonation management, and fining/filtration.
- Packaging: Operate and assist with bottling, canning, and kegging runs.
- Sanitation & Hygiene: Maintain strict sanitation protocols (CIP) across all tanks, hoses, pumps, and packaging equipment.
